This Senior Citizens Home is built by Dr K Basavapunnaiah and Lakshmi prasad trust in September 2010, with the sole purpose of catering to the needs of the urban middle and poorer sections of the society keeping the price within their reach .
The building is situated in a 2 acre land at Palakaluru , Guntur with a ground plus first floor plan , a very gentle ramp and easy staircase , specially designed for senior citizens . Lift is not available.
This home accommodates 100 inmates, with all modern facilities to help them lead a peaceful life free from all worries . The campus is just 3 km from the main centre ( Gujjanagindla) . Nearby you can see apartments, a huge convention centre and a multiplex among apartments and other other residential houses . Daily essentials can be purchased by a short walk .
A team of over 10 staff members comprising of a Manager , cooks , cleaners , watchmen and dhobi take care of all the needs of the inmates under the personal supervision of Dr Basavapunnaiah garu
A kitchen garden is grown in one acre .
A 200 metre walking track is laid around the campus with benches scattered here and there to rest and chat .
Children and Grand children and other relatives are encouraged to visit and spend time with their people regularly.
